2. Tour Planning Meeting – Sunday March 4, 7-9 pm at the 760 Eagleson Rd Superstore Community Room.

The Tour Planning Meeting on Sunday 4 March 7-9pm at the 760 Eagleson Rd Superstore Community Room.  This meeting is for all Tour Leaders, potential tour leaders and anyone else who may be tempted to lead an occasional ride this season.  More details will follow in future Bike Shorts. For now, simply circle that date on your calendar and start thinking about routes you would like to do (and when you would like to lead them).

3. Ride With GPS Club Account

KNBC has purchased a RideWithGPS Club Account.

Sometime around mid-February, all current members of KNBC will be emailed a link which will enable them to access the KNBC RideWithGPS Club Account.  The video in the link below details how this will happen. It also outlines some of the features to which you will have access using the “Club Account”

For those of you wanting to take advantage of this, for now there is no action required on your part - just wait patiently for the link.

Here is the link to the video describing how you will be able to access the RideWithGPS Club Account, once it is made available to you: https://ridewithgps.com/help/club-member-benefits#joinclub

4. First Aid Course

KNBC is once again arranging for a 1-day St. John Ambulance course in Emergency First Aid + CPR + AED. The details are:

- The course will be in April. The exact date is to be determined.

- The cost is $112 and KNBC will pay 50% of the cost for 2018 tour leaders.

- The course will be held at the St. John Ambulance building, 1050 Morrison Drive (near the IKEA mall)

- For a private course, we need 8-18 people.

There is a 2-step process:

1. If you are interested, please write to Barrie Kirk at barrie.kirk@gmx.com

2. Barrie will then set-up a Doodle poll to find out which date in April works best.
